CBSE Central Teacher Eligibility Test 2012 Online Application & Details

Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) is conducted for the recruitment of Teachers at Primary or Elementary level in the Central Government and Union Territories Schools. CTET is conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education and this year's test is scheduled to be conducted on 29/01/2012, hence the online registration for the same has begun.
The application can be made online as well as offline, however the last working date for the online application is 25th November where as offline will go till 30th November.

Interested aspirants would have work hard and start the preparations early as the results of the previous has not been very encouraging as only 14% of the total population passed the exam out of around 7 lakh candidates. CTET is now conducted every year and its score is valid for 7 years. Looking the scale at which examination is conducted, there is a tough competition, however with it there are handful of once you clear the exams as it is mandatory now for any CBSE affiliate school to hire teachers who are CTET qualified.
